just got mysely a 3ltr pony bottle which I have mounted on the right hand side of my main cylinder, I put 1 2kg weight either side in the back pockets of my BCD do I now just leave the right hand side one out to stop me tipping over onto the right hand side?

have you tried the new setup in the water? if you do that, you'll soon find the answer to your question ;-)

i never bother adjusting weights etc when i'm diving a single and the pony is attached. the moment isn't that much of a problem and easily compensated for.

AdHi there,
adding 4Kg of extra weight seems a little high to me,as you have to take the in water weight of the cylinder into account, not the dryweight.I used to use a pony, and to be honest never needed to trim my weigths, this is especially true if you are using a tank that is negative when empty(steel mainly), but one that id positive when empty may cause a slight problem. Most manufacturers provide data on such matters>Hope the dive went well.
